I hope nobody has been checking this thing. I sort of gave up on it for a while. I may try to pick back up again, I don't know. I'm a busy guy nowadays. All the work, school, music and a girlfriend to top it off. My time is spent. Luco's picking me up. We're going out for cheeseburgers.

Merry Creepy Christmas

it's when i'm up at 3 am with no rest in sight when i anticipate the birth of hateclub.org the most. it will definitely be a place to put hateful thoughts. i want to start with my hate for the birdman lugz commercial i saw. it has this pissed off black guy in it and every once in a while it goes to slow-motion showing his mad face, i don't really understand why. maybe lugz will make you the toughest brother on the street? then he climbs onto his crotch rocket and changes gears with his birdman lugz. here is the catch phrase at the end of the commercial "birdman lugz, ya heard?" what the fuck is that? ya heard? sure, i heard you say birdman lugz a few times, am i trying to find my keys so i can drive to the store and buy what will make me look like an angry black man on a motorcycle? no. most certainly not. why would i want people to think i'm angry?

i just ate a giant burrito from el burrito mexicana and boy was it outstanding. i have always wanted to become a connoisseur of something, and i think i may just become a connoisseur of burritos. a burrito connoisseur. that's me.

gogol bordello has struck my interest. check them out if you don't know who they are. gypsy punk.
The New York Dolls, who recently reunited on the urging of Morrissey, have announced plans to record their debut for Roadrunner Records. The proto-punk act will enter a hometown studio on January 15th, 2006 with Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon, Cheap Trick) to record their first album of entirely new material since 1974's Too Much Too Soon.

The reunited act features founding members David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, with Steve Conte (guitar), Sami Yaffa (bass), Brian Delaney (drums) and Brian Koonin (Keyboards). Original bassist Arthur Kane passed away in July of 2004 and was the subject of a recent independent documentary, New York Doll.

The band is planning an international tour in support of the new release which is scheduled for summer 2006 on Roadrunner.

the last few days have been really taxing on me and sometimes really forgettable. let's not let it happen again, okay mr. baker? i'm going to try. today i have been working on squaring away my work, school and music. work and music are good, but i have an exam tomorrow in biology and a couple papers due friday in english. by this weekend i should be pretty happy in all the things i have to do. the bomags may be recording next week, and tonight we're going to work on the new songs that nobody knows how to play. i'm going to look for the strapholder that keeps falling out of my guitar. my goal is to not drink or do any drugs for as long as i can hold out. this may prove to be too daunting a task, with how bored i tend to become. i am very well rested.

CD Reviews of CD's I Don't Own

I decided to try this out... First victim, a band with a new album out called the Rydells.

I saw their CD entitled Go Mental on Interpunk and their Queers/Screeching Weasel-esque album cover had me interested. The song sample from their CD wasn't too bad, capturing an early 80's Ramones sound, so I went in to investigate. Upon finding a myspace page for a band called the Rydells, with four sample songs, my intrigue turned into disgust. The songs on that page were nothing like the sample on Interpunk. They sounded as radio-aspiring as one can imagine. They sounded like the child of Pennywise and Good Charlotte to me, and let me assure you that's not a good sound. It finally dawned on me that there are more than one band named the Rydells. Now I just have to find out the deal with this first Rydells band that isn't rediculously terrible. That review went really well.

So what's new with me you ask? Well for one a terrible update-ethic.

My band the Bomags has been practicing a lot and Bill and I have been writing songs. We're playing our first "show" next Tuesday. Ask me about it if you want to witness. It should be a lot of fun. Lots of beer.

I got a pretty good paying host job at J. Alexanders in Oakbrook. It will beat the hell out of scooping ice cream. I'm starting training this week.

School is fine. I anticipate a lot of papers and exams in the near future. Should be a bitch.

My mouse Priscilla died. RIP Priscilla 10/05-11/05. She was a cute mouse. Never very healthy looking. She is preceded in death by the 5 mice my mom caught in mouse traps this month and survived by Elvis (the white mouse).
